Alsford Timber appoints new Managing Director
Alsford Timber is delighted to announce that it has appointed Neil Fuller as Managing Director, with effect from 1 November 2007.
A well-known figure in the industry, Neil brings many years’ experience to his new position. He joins Alsford Timber from Trade Depot, where he was Sales & Operations Director, and has also served as an Area Director at Jewsons.
As Managing Director, Neil takes over the day-to-day running of the largest independent timber merchant in the South East, with overall responsibility for some 20 branches across Kent, Sussex, Surrey and the Greater London area.
Mark Kingsbury, who has been Managing Director since March 2005, will continue to take an active interest in the company in his new role as Chairman of Alsford Timber. He retains his position as Group Finance Director of Geo. Kingsbury Holdings Ltd, the ultimate parent company of Alsford Timber.
Commenting on this latest development, Mark Kingsbury said: “I’m very excited by Neil’s appointment, and I know he will have a very positive impact on the business. I’ve really enjoyed my time as Managing Director, but Neil’s arrival will allow me to spend more time on other Geo. Kingsbury group commitments outside Alsford Timber.”
Aged 42, and married with two young children, Neil’s interests outside work include rugby union and motorcycling.
