At Alsford Timber we know that the environmental credentials of our products are important to our customers, and it has long been the company�s policy to source our timber from mills and suppliers who actively pursue sound environmental practices.

We are proud to announce that Alsford Timber have successfully been assessed by BM TRADA and awarded FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for The Endorsement of Forest Certification) Chain of Custody accreditation across all its 20 branch locations.

This is an extension to the certification achieved in 2004 at its head office location
in Erith.

Chain of Custody is the ability to trace our products along each and every stage of the supply chain from the forest to our branches, including all stages of manufacturing, transportation and distribution.

Our certificated timber includes our full range of premier, standard and contract prepared softwood and sawn joinery timber, roof battens, I joists and kerto.

Also included are MDF sheets and mouldings, OSB, chipboard and some plywood.

We have also achieved certification on our sawn and sawn treated carcassing and on some of our fencing, stair parts and flooring.
