Alsford Timber recognises its responsibilities to ensure that environmental issues are an integral part of the company’s philosophy and operating policies. We will, wherever possible, only supply products from sources that originate from sustainable sources.

 

We have been awarded both the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) Schemes. These awards cover the vast majority of sheet materials that are imported into our central head office operation based in Erith, Kent.

 

We are in the process of obtaining similar certification for the remaining branch network, and expanding coverage to our core timber offer. We expect to achieve this in 2006.
